Ledger Nano S & Nano X Hardware Issues: Charging, Screen, and Battery
Sometimes the problem isn’t the app — it’s the device itself. This page covers common hardware issues like Ledger Nano X not charging, Ledger Nano X screen not working, and Ledger Nano X battery issue, plus a few tips for Ledger Nano S.

Ledger Nano X Not Charging
If your Ledger Nano X not charging, work through this list:
• Use the original USB cable that came with the device.
• Test another USB port or a different power adapter.
• Carefully inspect the port for dust or damage.
• Leave the device connected for at least 1–2 hours.
If charging still fails, contact official Ledger Live Support to review repair or replacement options.

Ledger Nano X Screen Not Working
A Ledger Nano X screen not working can be stressful, but there are steps you can try:
• Connect the device to your computer and see if Ledger Live recognizes it.
• If the app detects the device while the screen remains blank or frozen, reach out to support.
• Never enter your recovery phrase on any other device or website in an attempt to fix a screen issue.
Restore your wallet only on a trusted, genuine Ledger device.
Ledger Nano X Battery Issue
If you notice a Ledger Nano X battery issue such as rapid drain or refusal to hold charge:
• Ensure your firmware is current using the Ledger Live app.
• Try a different cable and power source.
• Use the device while it is plugged in if the battery is weak.
• If the behavior does not improve, contact Ledger Live Support for advice.
For Ledger Nano S devices, battery is generally not a concern (they are powered by USB), but faulty cables or ports may still cause connectivity problems.
